In 2018, Thai Honda commissioned Tanadit, known as a sophisticated industrial designer, to further evolve the image of the Cub and propose a new concept for 2018, and the result is the TOKYO STREET.
The Cub is the world's largest producer of utility bikes, and has been used around the world for 60 years without changing its basic design.
Mr. Tanadit's design concept was not simply an extension of the traditional custom Cub, but rather a rebuilding of the image of the Cub from its origins in practicality and functionality as a city vehicle and, above all, Japan style.
This work, which was chosen as a motif, was born from the simplicity of the Japanese aesthetic of not too much cutting but not too much adding, which is the Japanese aesthetic of Zen. However, although it was hoped that it would become commercially available, it was a phantom model that could not be seen in person as a concept model.
With the launch of the new product, we have enhanced the quality of the product and reviewed various parts in pursuit of durability and quality that will satisfy the most discerning users. The design bike from Tanadit is a city vehicle for adults, with a size that is easy to maneuver, a high-performance, durable engine, and eco-friendly performance.
